Performance and Capability of the New Armada

The new Armada is powered by a robust 3.5-liter, six-cylinder engine that produces 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Along with speed-sensitive steering, this SUV has a standard rear-wheel drivetrain and a nine-speed automatic transmission. In terms of performance, this model has a gas mileage of 20 MPG on the freeway and 16 MPG in the city.

This large SUV has a ground clearance ranging from 9.6 inches to 9.9 inches, depending on the specific trim. On models like the SL, drivers can augment powertrain output with Vehicle Drive Setting. The Armada has a standard Vehicle Dynamic Control system to electronically control the stability of the vehicle and increase traction support when oversteering or understeering is detected.

Cabin Features

The Armada has a dedicated cargo capacity of 20.4 cubic feet with all seats upright. The second-row seats can fold or recline with a 40/20/40 split, while the rear bench seat folds with a 40/60 split. On upper trims, drivers can opt for second-row captain’s chairs to change the maximum seating capacity of the SUV from eight to seven passengers.

Connectivity is a breeze with standard wireless smartphone integration for apps like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Audio streaming and other infotainment essentials can be managed on the 12.3-inch NissanConnect touchscreen. This model also supports remote vehicle features like remote engine start via NissanConnect Services. Higher trims have standard navigation via Google Maps, real-time weather updates, and real-time traffic information for easier route planning.

Exterior Features

The Armada makes driving convenient with key exterior features like rain-detecting wipers, which work by using infrared sensors to sense and measure precipitation. Bi-LED headlights that switch between high and low-intensity illumination based on surrounding traffic conditions are standard. This model also has remote-activated perimeter approach lights with puddle lights that help passengers avoid stepping into puddles.

On the SL model and above, drivers can enjoy effortless entry to the cargo area with a power-activated cargo access. There is also an available proximity cargo access system for the PRO-4X.

The Nissan Armada is a full-size model with athletic performance capabilities, plenty of muscle for towing large trailers, and tons of standard technology.
